S Pen is great for note taking, there's write to text compatibility, the face unlock is top-notch after a couple of improvement scans in different lighting, and the performance has been fantastic ever since I got it.

S6 Lite works well for what you ask! I've been daily driving it for a year or so and it is likely great drawing device and note taking is good too. The screen isn't the largest so you'll run into the issue of where to place your hand but I'm lefty and write weird so idk how it works out for others but I was still able to take really nice notes.
